Purpose of the Buyer Tour

Once a buyer decides he/she wants to know more about a business opportunity, it is time for the buyer and seller to meet.  This is done through a buyer tour.  The tour usually takes about an hour and is done at the actual business location.  It is often done after business hours to help maintain the confidential nature of the business sale.

The Buyer Tour

Purpose of the buyer tour:

  • Buyer and seller meet each other.
  • Buyer gets a chance to see the business opportunity.
  • Buyer gets to see what equipment is used in the business.

What the buyer tour is NOT:

  • It is not the time to discuss price, financing or other details.
  • It is not the time to go over the books and records.
  • It is not the time to count inventory or check the condition of equipment.
